BabySense V Infant Movement Monitor by HiSense

How Babysense V works
Babysense
V operates using large, passive sensor pads that are highly sensitive
to even the slightest motion a baby makes. These pads constantly
monitor a baby's every movement. The motion patterns are
transmitted
to a compact microprocessor, the Babysense V control unit, where they
trigger a flashing green light that is clearly visible from a
distance. The flashing green light is the signal that all is
well,
providing a parent or caretaker with peace of mind. If, for
whatever
reason, the baby's movement stops for 20 seconds, or slows to less than
10 movements per minute, an audible alarm will sound. On hearing
this
alarm, a parent or caretaker is alerted to come to the aid of the
sleeping baby.
Babysense V is not a medical
device. Premature and high-risk infants must be under supervision
of a
doctor or health professional.
When the
Babysense V Alarm Sounds …
Babysense
V infant movement monitor is highly sensitive and has been proven to be
very effective in detecting the cessation of infant movement and
sounding an alarm.
It does not replace the parent or the
caretaker. It is an attention-calling device, and a valuable
parent's
aid that increases a parent's peace of mind, encouraging a good night's
rest. Babysense V cannot intervene when a baby's movements
stop. It
cannot solve the problem nor can it take action beyond alerting parents
and caretakers that the baby needs their assistance. When the
Babysense V infant movement monitor alarm sounds, it is the
responsibility of the parent or caretaker to quickly respond to the
alarm and take whatever action may be necessary.
BabySense V –Safety Features

Auditory and Visual (red light) alarm is activated if baby's motions

Practical Guidelines for Use
Newborn
Babies: Babies under the age of 3 months do not move
from place to
place while sleeping. USE ONLY ONE SENSOR PAD
without the
connecting cable in order to ensure greater relative sensitivity.
Babies
Three Months of Age & Up: Babies begin to crawl and become more
mobile at the age of 3 months. Now is the time to ADD THE SECOND
Babysense V SENSOR PAD attaching the two pads with the “connecting
cable” supplied. As the baby moves about in his or her crib, the
two
sensor pads will ensure that all of the baby's movements are monitored.
